Families in Canton Zug come from all over the world — different languages, different traditions, different ways of showing love. After more than ten years photographing families here, that is one of the things I appreciate most: every family has its own quiet rhythm, its own way of being together.
My job is not to arrange you into a perfect row and say "cheese." My job is to notice the way your youngest hides behind your leg, the way your partner laughs when they think no one is watching, the easy comfort of a Sunday morning at home. Those are the moments worth keeping.
I work in natural light, with a calm and unhurried approach, and a style that is warm, editorial, and completely timeless. No heavy edits. No artificial colours. Just your family, as you actually are — which, I promise, is more beautiful than you think.
memorable Moments
No stiff poses, no matching outfits required, no cheesy forced smiles. My approach coaxes real expressions — the kind that remind you, years later, of exactly how your family felt in this season of life.
Ten years of working with families of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds means I've seen almost everything. I know how to work with toddlers who won't cooperate, teenagers who'd rather be anywhere else, and grandparents who've never liked having their photo taken.
I conduct all sessions entirely in English, German, Spanish, with clear communication from your first enquiry to final delivery. No confusion, no language barrier — just a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Delivered via a private online gallery, high-resolution and print-ready. Easy to share with family near and far, perfect for printing, and edited to look timeless rather than tied to a particular trend.
Zug is genuinely one of the most photogenic places in Switzerland. The lake changes colour with every season. The old town has light that photographers dream about. The forests around Baar and Cham feel like something out of a storybook in autumn.
I know the best spots — the ones that aren't overrun with tourists, the ones that catch perfect golden-hour light, the ones that work for toddlers who need space to run. We'll choose a location together based on your family's energy, the season, and the kind of images you're hoping to create.
I'm also very happy to come to you. Home sessions are some of my favourites — there's a particular magic in photographing a family in the place they actually live.
Open light, water reflections, and timeless scenery. Beautiful in every season.
Cobblestones, warm archways, and the soft golden tones of historic Swiss architecture.
Dappled light, space to wander, and spectacular colour in autumn.
Relaxed, intimate, and entirely on your terms. My favourite kind of session.

"An amazing session with incredible results! We highly recommend Mary. She has been photographing our family for years and our children love being in front of her camera. She is very professional and friendly."
- William C.
"I have been working with Mary for many years and I can only say that she is amazing. When the kids were young, she alway made them feel comfortable and now they are teenagers she also meets them and still gets us the most amazing pictures. If you need a photographer don’t look further just book Mary."
-Charlotte B.
Do you photograph families from all cultural backgrounds?
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking 8–12 weeks in advance for family sessions. Spring and autumn golden-hour spots tend to fill fastest. Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy — ideally around weeks 28–32 — so we have a confirmed slot ready for when your baby arrives. That said, reach out even with shorter notice and I'll always do my best.
Where do sessions take place?
What happens if the weather is bad?
When and how will I receive my photos?
Your finished gallery will be delivered via a private, online gallery within 5 business days after your session. You'll be able to download your preferred images in full resolution — ready for printing, sharing, or archiving. Galleries remain accessible for 60 days, and print ordering is available directly from the gallery.
What are your prices?
Family session costs at CHF 320, which includes the session, professional editing, and your online gallery. Maternity and newborn sessions are priced similarly. Seasonal mini sessions are offered at a lower investment point with limited availability. Full pricing details are shared during your free consultation call — no surprise fees, ever.
